Flash flood hits resort in Laguna,3 missing!

A six-year-old child and two others went missing after a flash flood struck a resort in Majayjay town, Laguna on Sunday afternoon at around 4 p.m.

A report on News TV Live said flash flood struck the Dalitiwan Resort, a mountainside tourist destination in Barangay Ilayang Banga,.

Resort owners had warned local tourists to stay away from the river as rain poured heavily in the area.

After about 30 minutes, the rain stopped and tourists went back near the river.

However, water unexpectedly gushed from the mountain and swept away four tourists.

One of the victims had been rescued. The three remaining missing tourists were identified as father and daughter Bryan and Cristine Altea Alimania, residents of Cabuyao town and Vanessa Carillo, 34, of Lopez town.

Rescue operations have been launched by the local police and military in coordination with the Bureau of Fire and Protection, Red Cross and the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
